Good Enough is a superpower. A superpower that blossoms when we are selective on what parts of our life should simply be “good enough” (frankly 80% of things) and which ones require the intensity of focus, time, energy and more to push the boundary a bit further….not necessarily to perfection because that’s false self-belief but going deep enough that you hit the earth’s mantle!
I have found it liberating! It is good enough to have a something my wife and I go out to do on dates every other week without intense time spent on yelp reviews, googling or more and save the intense depth for moments I want to be more memorable once in a while. The outcome is a lot more date and moments together!
It is good enough to work out everyday for 30 – 40minutes with my only goal being to exceed certain amount of calories I’ve set on my watch. No need to count the number of reps., no need to wonder which body part needs more stress today, no need to calculate how much calories I ate yesterday etc.. The outcome is a healthier body and mind!
It is good enough to write one thought a day everyday and spend no more than 20minutes doing so even if it may not be profound. The outcome is I’m better everyday at conveying a thought!
